TSAT Enhanced Security Through Awareness

Transportation Security Awareness Training (TSAT) is provided to improve NYSDOT employee safety and security through awareness. As a NYSDOT employee, you should always perform your work safely and protect yourself at all times. In regards to transportation security your general responsibilities are to:

be aware and alert
regularly perform work-area security sweeps
recognize suspicious activity including phone calls, objects, vehicles and people
safely observe suspicious activity
accurately report suspicious activity
know your role and act accordingly

Note: Security, supervisory, and management personnel have additional responsibilities in transportation security beyond those covered in this program.

By the nature of your job, you are best positioned to recognize suspicious activities, packages, devices or substances.
