DOS Risk Factors Identified

The law and regulations require a list of the risk factors identified in the workplace risk evaluation and determination.

At DOS, security risks will be evaluated by the Department through reporting mechanisms, inspections, and periodic risk assessments which may include:

• Review of policies and practices to determine if they optimize workplace safety
• Evaluation of situations and incidents that are raised in the Health and Safety Committee forum or through incident reporting
• Annual review of the Log of Workplace injuries and illness and the Summary of Work-Related Injuries and illnesses
• Evaluation or inspection of agency facilities
• Periodic surveys or focus group discussions to identify unknown risks
