Terrorism: A Potential Threat

For the purpose of awareness, take a closer look at terrorism and the weapons/tactics that terrorists use by completing the matching activity.

Instructions: Match the photo with the correct terrorist and event. Click once within the activity area to activate the control. Select a photo by clicking and holding it, then drag and drop it to the box next to the appropriate event.

The point of this activity is to impress upon you the diversity of individuals and weapons/tactics used by this small sample of terrorists. Anyone can be a terrorist. They are not all male, they vary in age, nationality, and physical appearance. They use a variety of weapons and tactics. Also notice that most of these acts were perpetrated using or against *transportation assets.

DO NOT PROFILE! Profiling is a practice in which a person is singled-out because of their gender, race, ethnicity, nationality or religion. You are to focus on suspicious behavior(s) to determine whether someone is a threat or not. Suspicious behavior(s) will be covered thoroughly later in the course.
