- Assistant Engineers*
- Professional Engineers (all levels)*
- Compliance Specialists (all levels)
- Minority Business Specialists (all levels)
- Environmental Specialists (all levels)*
- Transportation Construction Inspectors (all levels)
- Safety Engineers
- Regional Local Project Liaisons (various titles, all levels)*
* Those assigned to Construction or Local Programs
Contractors and consultants who perform CUF inspections on behalf of NYSDOT are also required to take this training.
CUF is a requirement of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program. CUF is required and defined in Title 49, Part 26 of the Code of Federal Regulations [49 CFR 26.55(c)]:
